Thrilling Manali Trip
Thrilling Manali Trip
We had a memorable vacation trip to Manali in
Himachal Pradesh, India. Group of 5 members
took up journey by road from Delhi, on 6th June 2016 –
around 6 am. Journey was through Maruti Suzuki Swift Desire- self-driven.
The day
journey was totally comfortable and extremely enjoyable. It was quite chilly
but inside vehicles it was cozy and comfortable.
Our first
stop was at Murthal (about 40KM) and had a
Breakfast super of crisp stuffed
vegetable pranthas with fresh white butter at our favorite food joint – Sukhdev
Dhaba.
Rounds of tea after every two hours at road side Dhabas was
really relishing. Getting out of cozy car into chilly and windy atmosphere in
late nights and early mornings needed real guts. But hot masala tea with ginger
and cardamom was a real rewarding treat.
We reached
Shimla (370 KM from Delhi) – a major town – around 7 pm. We had good Dinner at
a nice Hotel Vatika Resort. We stay for a night in the hotel . We were feeling refreshed and started on our
final leg of the journey – the Manali – about 250 KM from Shimla.
The
journey was magnificent. Road was very good and scenic. After sometime zig-zag
road ended and we were driving through the valley. On our right was Beas river
and its water was giving a musical soothing effect.
We enjoyed one of the best adventure sport
(River Rafting ) in Beas river. Its was totally amazing experience for us. The
water was super child, we were paddle the boat very fast.
Its was
totally (Paisa vasul adventure )
We reached Manali in 7 hours as on way we had stopped at a very scenic spot and a hanging bridge about 200-meter-long connecting the main highway to a village across the river. That was a great scenic spot and lot of food stalls had come up at that venue. That was a must-stop spot for all travelers.
We had hot
Maggi instant noodles, boiled eggs and delicious tea. In fact, all type of
snacks was available. We had nice Photo-ops in the middle of that hanging and
swing bridge over river Beas.
We had
shortlisted three hotels (without paying advance deposit). We didn’t like the
first two. We settled for the last one– an expensive but magnificent resort –
Hotel Jai. That was on main Kullu-Manali road – about 13 Km short of Manali.
We found
that resort a perfect tranquilizing spot in the lap of raw nature. It was big
resort with lush greenery, all amenities and as a bonus river flowing besides
the resort – like a private river attached to resort.
We spent 4
days in that magnificent ambiance. We ventured out to go to main Manali town
and Mall road. First, parking our vehicles was a herculean task. The Mall Road
was very crowded and full of tourists
On 12th
afternoon we set out for Solong (around 14 KM from Manali and on way to
famous Rohtang pass. The great Rohtang Pass was not open to tourists during
this season. Because of heavy tourist inflow, there was heavy traffic jam. We
could see snow falling on higher peaks all around. This location’s popular
attraction is Para-gliding and snow fall, even before it starts in Manali.
After snowfall, the place is fully covered with snow and you can enjoy even
Skiing,Para Gliding. The journey to Solong was picturesque
The trip
was memorable and the long road journey in the chilly nights itself was
thrilling and made the trip more unique.
Sounds Interesting 😍😍 Want to go💗
